Placement date: Apr 17 2004
State: Vermont
County: Windham
Nearest city: Wilmington
Number of boxes: 1

Directions:

Take Route 100 South out of Wilmington center. At junction of Route 9 and 100, proceed on 100 for about 2 miles. Take a right on a dirt road which is Boyd's Hill Road. Proceed straight down the hill to the Jacksonville Picnic Area.

Please note: During the summer months this area reaches its maximum quickly. Be sure to get here early - and don't forget a picnic and bathing suit. Look for Sue and I since this is one of our most favorite hangouts.

Clues:

Park your car and walk along the road that bears to the right along the lake. After passing a yellow gate, notice a large, 3 sister birch on the hill above the road. Check the base of this tree for a flat stone with buried treasure beneath. Please note that the 3 sister tree has since been cut down but the flat stone remains next to the stump of what was the 3 sister!

Please be discreet and rehide carefully.

Look across the lake off in the distance at 310 degrees for the inspiration for the stamp!

Have fun and just get out there & box!!!
